Workshop Theme and Goals

This workshop aims at researchers, practitioners, and professionals working with data generated by wearable and ubiquitous sensing technologies. As sensor systems proliferate across various domains, new challenges emerge in managing and interpreting vast, heterogeneous datasets. Integrating emerging AI techniques, such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal models, is crucial to effectively address these challenges, including real-time data processing, context-aware decision-making, and cross-modal fusion. This workshop will explore how these advanced models can enhance ubiquitous sensing, improving the analysis, interaction, and usability of sensor data. By examining the intersection of AI and ubiquitous computing, we aim to uncover future research directions and the practical implications of these technologies. We welcome submissions on (not limited to) the following topics:
- Adapting LLMs for Ubiquitous Sensing
- Multimodal Sensor Integration
- Foundation Models for Sensor Data Learning
- Quality-Aware Data Collection with Wearables
- Sensor Reading with LLMs
- Crowd Sourcing with LLM Agents
- Novel UI and UX for Wearables
- Vision-Language Models for Sensing
- Multi-task Learning
- Multimodal Learning
- Datasets and Benchmarks
- Energy-efficient and Privacy-aware AI for Sensing
- Novel Applications, Interfaces, and Case Studies
Submission details
We will solicit two categories of papers: (1) Full papers (6 pages): Original research contributions presenting novel theories, methodologies, or empirical studies related to AI-driven ubiquitous sensing; (2) Short Papers (4 pages): Preliminary research findings, early-stage ideas, or ongoing projects that can benefit from community feedback and discussion. All papers must use the ACM SIGCHI Master Article template as suggested in the UbiComp/ISWC 2025 submission guidelines and will be reviewed by at least two workshop technical committee members or Organizers. All papers will be digitally available through the workshop website, and will be included in the UbiComp/ISWC 2025 Adjunct Proceedings. A Best Paper Award will be presented to recognize outstanding contributions.
